◆Fish Species: Common sea angel, Sea slug, Beroe cucumis and other ice diving species
◆Special Feature: Okhotsk is famous for ice diving in February and March. You can enjoy the fantastic world under the ice full of delightful creatures and unique lighting. The annual average of water temperature is around 8℃(46℉), the average during February and March is around -1℃(30.2℉).

2 - Lake Shikotsu: Beginners to advanced
◆Location: Southern Hokkaido (Chitose City)
◆Transportation: By Air: Tokyo Haneda → New Chitose Airport (Sapporo): about 90 minutes
  By Land: New Chitose Airport (Sapporo) →Lake Shikotsu: about 60 minutes
◆Best Time: January to June for clear water, July to December for fish and water plants.

3 - Tsugaru Strait: Intermediate level

Izu Peninsula is divided into three areas; East Izu, West Izu, and South Isu.West Izu and South Izu are especially popular for diving with their clear waters and unique geographical features.   ◆Special Feature: Ogasawara Islands were honored as a world natural heritage site in June, 2011. The ship to the islands departs from Tokyo only once a week to limit visitors and keep the natural environment as pristine as possible. ,. Ogasawara Islands are in a tropical climate so they enjoy warm temperatures year-round. The annual average of water temperature is around 24℃(75.2℉), the average of each month is around 20 - 29℃(68 – 84.2℉). The clear water, unique geographical shapes and fascinating endemic species attract divers from all over the world. Wreck diving is popular in Chichijima Island. The war ship wrecks in Ogasawara provide plenty of exciting diving for different experience levels. There is the chance of seeing a lot of tropical fish up close when diving for a breath taking experience.

The average water temperature in South Kii Peninsula is around 21.0℃(69.8℉) and during May to September, the water temperature is around 24℃(75.2℉).The area is unique with its mixture of tropical and subtropical features, the warm waters from the south brought up on the Kuroshio Current spawn colorful coral gardens and the slightly cooler waters bring larger migratory species into play.

 8 - Okinawa Main Island: Beginner to Advanced

  ◆Fish Species: Butterflyfish, Spadefish, Greater, Rainbow runner, Baracouta and Manta etc.
  ◆Special Feature:The water temperature is always higher than 20℃(66℉) even in the winter. It would be up to 25-28℃(77- 82.4℉) in summer. It is called“Marine Blue”. As its name suggest, the usual dive visibility is 40 – 50m (131 – 164 ft).Okinawa Main Island is divided into three parts; North, Central, and South. In the North, you can enjoy diving at coral reefs, grottos and drop-offs. In the Central, there are many divin points off the west coast popular with boat divers. In the South, there are enjoyable beach points like coral reefs, tunnels, and drop-offs.
   

 9 - Ishigaki Island: Beginner to intermediate

  ◆Temperature: Annual Average 24.3℃(75.7℉)/ Annual Highest Average26.9℃(80.4℉) / Annual lowest Average 22.2℃(79℉)
  ◆Fish Species: Butterflyfish, Greater, Rainbow runner, Manta, Baracouta, Blackfin tuna, and Spotted eagle ray etc.
  ◆Special Feature: Ishigaki Island offers many different types of diving from the Okinawa Main Island. If you are lucky, you can see big fish and also a lot of divers come to Ishigaki Island for Barracudas, Dogtooth tuna, Spotted Eagle Ray. The most famous spot is the yearly Manta Scramble where divers can see hundreds of mantas cleaning and feeding.. Boat diving is a major attraction and you can enjoy variety of diving spots and environments.. The average water temperature in winter is around 21.0℃(69.8℉) and during summer, the water temperature is around 28 - 29℃(82.4 – 84.2℉).
